THERE are a number of people in Harlow who are simply beacons of inspiration. Livewire’s Sam Ashford is one of them.

Livewire is celebrating its 25th anniversary and it is a credit to Sam and everyone involved that it continues to thrive.

Everytime we go to an event that has a Livewire contribution, we know it is going to hold our interest.

Whether it is the social content or the level of musicianship and acting.

There are so many benefits to doing Livewire. On one level it looks like fun. But as Sam said “If I was an employer, I would always employ a theatre kid”.

There are a number of Livewire events that will mark their silver jubilee.

But in the meantime, we sat down with Sam at the Harlow Playhouse to reflect but to also look forward.
