Wardrobes Adventures: Hare Street Primary Displays

Education / Mon 4th May 2026 at 12:34pm

KIT Theatre is one of the UK’s leading companies creating immersive theatre for young audiences. They work alongside schools and teachers to craft creative experiences which also support delivery of the core curriculum.

In KIT Theatre’s Wardrobes Adventures, pupils are recruited as secret agents, supporting time travellers who need their help. Through their teachers, they are set missions which include research, story-making and communicating with historical figures.

Last autumn, Wardrobes landed in Harlow. Year 2 Pupils from Hare St., Tanys Dell, and Fawbert & Barnards Primary Schools came to Harlow Playhouse, where they were recruited by The Professor.

They spent the next 5 weeks completing missions, before they visited Harlow Central Library, where they met historical Harlow figures Henry Moore and Sylvia Crowe. The exhibits in the Discover Gallery are highlights from Hare Street’s Harlow’s Wardrobes project. Enjoy exploring!

With many thanks to Hare Street Primary for another wonderful display of work by your pupils. Congratulations to all the schools involved in this project.

If your school or community group would like to arrange a display in our Discovery Gallery we would love to hear from you. Please contact Cathy Moule [email protected].
